This mug is the result of a reactive glazed stoneware manufacturing process. Each piece is entirely handmade, which makes it unique and gives a touch of singularity to your table. This manufacturing technique involves the application of different glazes and metal oxides: after an initial low-temperature firing on the still porous ceramic, ceramic artisans apply the metal oxides on the ceramic to achieve the desired effect. Subsequently, the pieces are covered with a different colored enamel, which highlights the metal oxides. The color and appearance of glazes therefore depend on various factors, such as temperature, firing time, thickness of the glaze and application method.
